They have fallen off a lot since they went multi-plat.

No on Wii GoldenEye, I forgot all about it actually.  And since it's a region locked system, my Wii game purchases have come to an end.

What region is your system? I'm pretty sure the game released in all territories.

US, but I only have Australian-published games around me. And no on actually holding a Wii U controller.  I have seen no store displays and no-one I know owns one.

You know what I just realised about 2 hours ago? The only online games I like are ones where it still feels like you are playing in single player. Like in Animal crossing I do my thing just open my gate and let people drop in and out but it doesn't interfere with what I'm doing. In Mario Kart I just join a group and it feels like you are just doing a GP in single player with more intelligent enemies.

You would like Civilization....have u ever played it?

Yeah, me too. The only online games I've played to any significant degree were Animal Crossing and Mario Kart Wii, and for exactly those reasons.

No, is it an RTS or god game? I'd love another Anno using IR.

I've tried other games online and they seem solid, but ultimately pointless, I just have no desire to continue. That's part of why I like Nintendos wii u approach, in games like Nintendoland and NSMBU you feel as though you are in this shared experience with people giving tips, or moaning about a hard section. But it's all within single player and non-intrusive.

Not exactly, Anno series (at least on PC) is an RTS hybrid with city building elements. Civ (again, PC) is turn based strategy.

Here! I mean, around. Lurking, mostly. Been watching all assorted E3 shenanigans from the sidelines, too weary and tired to jump into whatever discussion takes place.

I dont really like RTS, I prefer turn based. What I like about Anno Dawn of the new world was the building and planning aspects. Back in the day Theme Park was one of my favourite games. As soon as the battles in Anno started happening it was kinda distracting. I like the retro graphics too, reminded me of 90s PC.

Updated the opening post with Wii U games.

Comparing, the first thing that stands out is that the exclusives list is twice as big as the X1 or PS4 lists. And that the multiformat games are mostly cross gen ports.

There is some cross gen games on the X1 and PS4 list like Dying Light, MGS5, AC4, BF4, COD Ghosts, Destiny, Evil Within, Watch Dogs, NFS Rivals. But they are also getting multiformant next gen only games like Witcher 3, The Crew, The Division, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Mirror's Edge 2.

On the whole the Wii U list, exclusives + multiformat is a pretty decent list. Obviously it is missing many multiplatform games but it seems to have twice the number of exclusives which will only grow as Nintendo continue with their own games past spring next year.

But then the other systems multiformat games will expand to ludicrous proportions while Wii U has no new 3rd party games announced at E3. We know there is another Sonic exclusive and Zombie U 2 is being prototyped.
