I finished all of Samurai Champloo, good series overall if a bit too light and disjointed. Need to raise its place in my list.

4 episodes from the end of Baccano, really interesting bat shit crazy series. It's a bit hard to follow at times due to all the time jumping but I like it overall.

Finished season 1 of Nisekoi False Love, a Harem comedy but the two leads hate each other and are forced into a relationship and it has been consistently funny. Shame there is no English dub, I really like this series.

Oh, I also finished Bacanno!

Strange series, I kind of love it's uber violent 90s like jankiness. It's a bit hard to follow and pretty messed up at times. I didn't like that the last three episodes were this weird epilogue with this mechanic guy featuring so heavily.

7 episodes into D-Gray Man, I had heard it's like Fairy Tail but I'm not really seeing it. perhaps a little but nowhere near as good.

It's about Exorcists who hunt living weapons created by the Millenium Earl who is this devil like character? That carries around a goofy umbrella, wears a top hat and round spectacles. They really need to explain who this fucker is.

I started Eureka Seven last night, seems pretty great.

There are a few aspects which feel too much like Gurren Lagaan, but on the whole it feels a lot better to me, better directed, more grounded.

The first episode setup is like a smorgasbord of shonon cliches, dead father war hero, stories no one believes to be true. Unearthing some ancient mech, girl of your dreams dropping in your lap. Cranky old lovable man. But that's part of what makes it good.

Watched Wolf Children. The dub and script translation were a bit awkward, and it was a bit too montagey (felt like a novel adaptation), but other than that was super kawaii etc. A little weird, though, in a post-furry world...the West making something from Japan weirder than it actually was. WTF?

You found it super cute? I found the ending and message super depressing and downbeat, muddled even. Most of the film was good otherwise.

Wolf Children spoilers follow:

I just meant the look. I thought the ending was actually the opposite, though: in spite of her problems raising the wolf kinder alone, she successfuly produces two well-adjusted adults (in dog years, lel) and in the process comes to terms with the loss of their father, and that how her life turned out (obviously not how she was planning it) was ultimately worth it for that reason. Bittersweet, but definitely not depressing or downbeat. Muddled...well, not entirely well realised due to the montagey nature of the preceding events, so I think we sort of agree here.

Started watching Black Lagoon

It's kind of a throwback series, it's about a Japanese suit who is caught up in a kidnapping and ends up joining the pirate crew. They go about in their boat doing boat related crime. I'm not sure if I like it yet, the characters don't seem particularly loveable, it's not charming at all and seems to posture a lot and try to look cool.

Also started Golden Time about a stalker girl who follows her high school crush to college, despite his objections. It's like 15% comedy the rest is drama which stifles it a lot. Even so its pretty compelling and I want to see how it pans out but I prefer hilarious comedies which do this stuff far better like Nisekoi, Toradora or Love Chunbiyo and other Delusions

One of the site's forefathers.

Play fighting games!

High school? It looks quite modern. Is it a remake?

I remember having watched Black Lagoon, it was alright I guess. But it is all flash and no substance.

I finished the second season of Ace of Diamond. Pretty exciting stuff that ends on a high note. Another series that validates my love for sports animu.

You Americans want to jump in on this from Episode 1:

Erica Mendez, Cristina Vee star in Viz/Bang Zoom! dub premiering April 16 ― Adult Swim's Toonami block debuted a commercial for its April 16 premiere of the Hunter x Hunter television anime. The commercial features the English dub that Viz media commissioned.

It's in my Top Ten anime series list, really great show. The trials start off and it seems kind of throwaway, even childish, but by the end of the trials you'll be hooked and it only gets better.

I've come to really enjoy The Familiar of Zero

Louise is a noble girl who is terrible at magic, as her attempts usually result in an explosion. She is nicknamed "Zero Louise" by her classmates, due to the inability to use any of the four magic elements. Early in the school year at the Tristain Academy of Magic, the second year students perform a special ritual where they summon their familiar, which serves as their eternal protector and partner, and is usually some sort of magical creature. But Louise summons Saito Hiraga, an ordinary teenage boy from Japan, leaving her totally humiliated.

I'm on season 3.

Only season 1 is English dubbed.

The central joke is that the main charater Saito is caught in lecherous situations by his master and love interest. It repeats again and again and somehow the repetition makes it even funnier when the well meaning Saito keeps mistakenly getting caught red handed.

I think I will start watching Hunter X Hunter on Toonami.

I never finished Attack on Titan when it was on Toonami because I missed a few episodes and they didn't put them On Demand in a proper schedule. I tried watching it on Netflix but they don't have the English dub. I can't watch with Subtitles because I'm a slow reader. The only time I can watch with subtitles is if the audio is in English. But then sometimes the subtitles is like Fairy Tail on Netflix and it isn't exactly what is said in the English dub it is a direct translation from the Japanese audio.

That's funny, it's English dub on Netflix here.

Maybe Funimation has streaming rights in the U.S?
