Non-recyled Ghibli film? Fuck yes. (Well at least the style isn't recycled; plot and characters yet to be determined I suppose.)

Who are they putting forward as his and Miyazaki's replacements?

It was Yonebayshi, Arrietty and Marnie director but his films haven't done anything close to Ghibli numbers. And Goro Miyazaki, Tales from Earthsea and From Up on Poppy Hill director.
I think Hosoda (Summer Wars) is the only hope for this studio, they need to nab him and the writer he partners with regularly.

Right I'm going to activate this Crunchyroll pass Raven so kindly gave me. I wont have long to watch stuff, maybe 4-7 episodes a day I think. So what would you recommend that is fairly short, maybe 13-24 episodes max?
I would like something that is complete and not ongoing. I think I will wait on Kill la Kill and Attack on Titan as the dvds are out this year and I will watch them dubbed in english.
I finished Samurai 7, good series, wholly likeable. There is a slight imbalance with the sound on the English dub with booming music and harder to hear dialogue. Series is great if you enjoyed the Seven Samurai, likeble characters, interesting situations. It's really solid, not going to blow anyone away but it can be really enjoyable.
I also finished Berserk, holy motherfucking god the ending, the last two episodes is insane. Utter insanity. I literally could not believe what I was seeing. Crazy shit, how can they end it like that? They really need to carry on with the series and finish the manga. No wonder they are doing these movies. I need to know what happened next. As a whole it's a good series, focusing on bonds of friendship in battle and aside from a few supernatural elements, it's very much like Prince Valiant the series. Swords, castles, battles, royals etc. The animation can be quite dated but it's still a good series regardless.
Will be amending their position in the OP list. It's sad because series like Claymore and Berserk get ranked lower because they are essentially incomplete.
Been researching manga to continue Claymore and Berserk. Waaaaaaaaaay too expensive and hard to find sets too. Whoa, there is tons of free manga online this can't be legit?

Cack, C'roll wants credit card details to sign up for free trial. Will do it later, still waiting on top picks Raven.
This is weird, it started working without C.card info but I don't know how long it will last.
Weird, no Kill la Kill or Gurren Lagaan on the site.
Dang it. Selection is decent but also missing a lot of good shows, no Code Geass, no FMA, only 22 Fairytail episodes?
Ads every 5 mins unless I upgrade. Picture quality is awesome though. If only this worked on U I would subscribe. I hate holding a tablet in bed. the ads, the motherfucking ads, so.....many..... help....
Sounds like you just have the normal free account, GG. I never got ads during my free trial anyway. Do you have HD video options? If not, then you are not on premium.
Funimation currently owns the FMA license, and it can only be seen on their site.

Yeah if I sign up with a credit card I get 14 days free, no ads. They've deliberatly made the free pass horrible with ads. You have 4 ad breaks per 20 min episode, only a lot of the time it glitches and it repeats the same ad twice. Each time there's an ad they load in the ad and load back to the video..... only sometimes the video fails to reload... then say if you switch quality options 480p for instance rather than just flipping the video it restarts from the start.... complete with ads.... again.
Honestly, thank god it's free because if that was on the paid account..... wow.
Saw the first 4 of Attack on Titan, was cool. Not sure I understand that air gear stuff, won't they only be able to fight in built up areas or cities? Sometimes it doesn't seem to be connected to anything.

You don't understand it because neither do the choreographers.
The first two episodes of AOTitan were awesome. This is why I love anime, normal TV couldn't do stuff like this because it would just cost too much. There's some crazy shit going down and an epic scale. Love the animation quality too.
Also, finally after 22 episodes or so, Ken faced Shin in 80s FOTNStar. Watching the series, the effect you get is different from the movie. Every episode, Ken is slaughtering badly dressed guys in Mohawks. Yes they are murdering assholes but Ken ends up as perhaps the biggest mass murderer of all time. Why is this? Well it's because he has the ability to not kill, to permanently disable peoples arms and legs for instance. Instead he chooses to blow their brains out with a special punch. It sort of leaves you a bit conflicted with Ken as a sympathetic character.
Also in the film which I assume they changed, by the time Ken got to Shin Raoh had already been there and taken Julia/Yuria and Shin was dying. In the series Yuria dies there in the city and Ken kills Shin.
Watching FOTNS is torture for me, for so many years I've been wondering what happens after the movie Raoh fight? Raoh hasn't even shown up yet.
I read it costs $300'000 per episode for some shows per episode, I had no idea. I don't get how some shows like Bleach stretch to 270 plus episodes, Fairy Tail is 190 ongoing, Fist of the North Star is 150 eps. But most seem to be around 26.
Which makes FMA Brotherhoods 60 something episodes seem odd. I wish some series were longer, I'm finishing Samurai 7, Berserk and Claymore within touching distance. I hear One Piece is long.
