This is an average GTA game at best.

GTAs missions blow this game out of the water. Just the fact that I can get into a car chase makes them way better. And shooting is much more fun than punching.

Do you even remember the shooting and combat controls prior to GTA 4? They were worse than my diarrhea.

I never had a problem with shooting GTA games before GG. I never had a problem with shooting in RE games and those were worse.

EDIT: You upgrade it to get it more responsive by earning it. But it's still never as responsive as it should be. Still better than stick aiming IMO.

I know it is a common complaint that GTA games have poor shooting. I've never had a problem since they went 3D with GTAIII.

The fuck?

Prior to GTA 4 you had to lock onto an enemy, who would then erratically zig zag across the road, fucking up your camera view. Then you would have to flip targets using a button or d-pad and just hold down fire and pray to god you had enough ammo.

It was atrocious.

Yeah, never a problem for me. The targeting worked fine. I've beaten GTA3 twice, Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories and on and on and never had a problem.

You have to unlock better controls, what kind of crap is that.

And lock on in GTA games always worked fine, that is what I am doing most of the time in this game anyway.

Anyway I am on chapter 4 and almost done with this bore of a game. One of the most boring GTA clones I have ever played.

I am a few missions into Ch 2, so looks like you'll be playing The Thing by yourself.

I am finding it to be a charming game.  A little dull, very easy, no challenge.  The non-protagonist dialog is painful, much as it is in every Rockstar game not named RDR, LA Noire or The Warriors.

But they get points for the setting, and as I said, it is charming.  But also a bit of a grind.  So far it is an 8.5 (points added for originality in theme and setting).

It reminds of RDR in that they have folks run up to you asking for help, and the base line that plays throughout.

This goes next to The Witcher 2 for most surprising games that you didn't like.

How is a 7.8 not liking the Witcher. I like the Witcher just not as much as you.

The end of chapter 4 was cool, it gets a bit better when you get to use lots more shooting items. Still like Aspro said this game is totally devoid of any challenge and every mission is super basic from gameplay design perspective.

Well obviously as time goes forward things change but why are you complaining about those games when Bully has the exact same lock on aiming system.

The ending was pretty epic, that made playing it almost worth it.
