Same with the Animal Crossing series (FU, City Folk! ). If I ever return to AC, it'll be the DS version I still own but have no way to play.
For me Mario Kart DS was the perfect Mario Kart. I enjoyed the others, but that one is the capper. There is no need for me to get it again.
The funny thing is they are all the same since Snes not a lot of difference except graphically, I still loved Diddy Kong Racing on N64 that took it to another level, I believe I sold my copy to you as a matter of fact.
PS I think thats just about every Nintendo game I know I'm going to get flamed but really The Zelda series, and Mario are the only games that have really progressed well and I suppose Metroid. Is that enough to keep buying Nintendo consoles? Plus they do remake the old versions ad nausium. I guess I must feel its worth it I keep buying the consoles but GC and Wii have left me feeling very chilled on Nintendo.

Whaarrrrrrrrrrrrrtttttttt?

And the Wii version was unplayable (but looked the same).

aspro said:I agree (since it was my point ) but in the case of the console AssCreeds there was a[pparently a lot of change between 1 and 2 (and since they fixed it they are apparently now stuck on 2.1 2.2 2.3...

Diddy Kong was awesome but some people reviewed it really badly and I don't see why. Loved the airplanes too.

I know this is going to sound sucky to you as an American at the whim of NOA, but there are a lot of new games Nintendo have published, like the Last Story made by Sakaguchi, or Xenoblade made by Monolith and Disaster Day of Crisis and Pandora's Tower and Fatal Frame 4 on Wii.
They also published the Hotel Dusk games on DS, and published the Level 5 Prof Layton games. They introduced other franchises like the 8 million selling plus Nintendogs and Wii Sports, they published Hydroventure etc too.

I don't mean graphically of course. If there are gameplay changes, I wouldn't have noticed.
The Wii one I tried for all of 3 rounds before quitting (I was waving the Wiimote around spasmodically without much success). I bought it because I had heard of all the cool fan service in the game.

You should have played it with the Steering Wheel. That made the game feel totally different. The control with it was surprisingly good I thought, and really made it feel like you had an arcade racer in front of you.

The hell is going on here?
Aspro, use the nunchuk and steer with the stick. This way the game is fun.
Also, the GC Mario Kart had two racers per cart with different weights and special items and the ability to mix and match and swap between them. Your choice of characters also affected the different vehicles you could use and all the vehicles had different weight for bashing weaklings about, or different acceleration or top speeds and handling.
SteelAttack said:Mario Kart? None. Animal Crossing? One. Ok two, but that's because the lame-ass disc got scratched...twice. SSB? None. Ok my daughter has it but that game's not mine.
Go into the Nintendo channel, go into the records and see how many hours Animal Crossing wii has been played.

Heh heh. I was talking about SSB.. were you? I like the idea of playing SSB with the Wii racing wheel.

Yeah, actually you can play SSB with the Wii Wheel. Tilting it won't do anything, but all of the buttons will still work fine. Personally, I'd play with the GCN controller instead, though.
