Michael Bay Assaulted In Hong Kong
Cause of Transformers 2?
I just got back from seeing the new Carrie film. As I expected, Chloe Grace Moretz did an amazing job as Carrie White. Overall it's a good film that really captures the essence of the book, and adapts it well for modern audiences. I am, however, disappointed in the ending. No spoilers, but it is very different than the book, which I feel would have been so much better. It's still a good film, but it could have been great. Then again, I'm kinda a purist when it comes to translations of my favorite books, so other opinions may differ from mine, lol.
She is a great young actress.
were you the one reading The Shining too raven? I just finished, crazy how different it is from the movie.
Yeah, I've been going back and forth between reading The Shining and Under the Dome. I didn't plan to start Under the dome until I had finished The Shining, but curiousity got the better of me.

How is dome, I haven't seen the show but the premise sounds great.

The book is fantastic so far. I haven't seen the TV show yet. A friend of mine said it was very different from the book. I'll watch it after I've finished the book.

Did I just see Mystiques nipples?
I saw Enders game today and I honestly don’t know if I can judge it well seeing that I read the book. So I asked my friend who never read the book if he enjoyed the movie and he thought it was excellent. To me it felt like they took a buzz saw to the novel and cut out huge parts.
The movie moves at a quick pace moving from one major event to the next with little breathing room for the characters. To me I was wondering how the movie audience would react to jumps in the story, well they were jumps to me. My mind was filling in all the gaps so I didn’t know if the movie was getting the message across or if it was my knowledge of the source material.
What the movie does well is that it covers every major moment from the book and it nails the finale which is the most important part. The action segments were visually impressive and very entertaining. The kid who played ender was PERFECT, the exact vision I had for ender. Ford does some great work with what little he has.
This is a well done movie that respects it’s source material. that said the novel blows it away.
