Capcom®, a leading worldwide developer and publisher of video games, today announced that Resident 4: Wii Edition will be remade for the Wii with the new title Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition DX ™.

“We know that the only thing Wii owners love more than Resident Evil games is getting to replay their favorite Resident Evil games with new and improved controls, “says Philip Mazhole Capcom USA Chief of Marketing.“And there’s no doubt that Resident Evil 4 is everyone’s favorite.”

Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition DX ™ will incorporate Motion Plus controls to give the player complete control over Leon Kennedy.New waggle features will also be incorporated into the game for certain weapons. The graphics will remain the same in order to stay true to the original vision.

“This is the definitive version of Resident Evil 4,” says Mazhole, “and every RE fan must have it.” Additionally special pre-order bonuses will be available that will make Wii owners very happy.

After announcing the RE 0 remaket and yet another REmake (the third in 6 years) I would not be surprised to see another RE4 out on the Wii.  Capcom wants the RE series to be the new Final Fantasy.
