Yeah I said it. I have a Pintrest account, but it's okay I swear to god. Turns out it's not entirely a social media platform for women to share cupcake recipes, pictures of babies, and dresses they like (though that seems to make up about 80% of what's out there). It turns out there's actually a pretty solid community of gamers out there who are pinning and sharing some pretty cool stuff.

Before I get ahead of myself there's probably a few of you going, "what the hell is Pintrest?"  Pintrest is a social media platform that really started to catch on a few months ago. It's not for posting commentaries, long rants, or mindless 1 setence updates on what you're doing at that very moment. Instead it's more or less picture and video based where people find things they like, "pin it" on their boards and then let each other look at what's on their board. You can either pin or simply like things on other people's boards, or you can find other pictures from other websites and pin them onto your board. . . . fuck you, I like it. DON'T JUDGE ME!!!

Anyway I wanted to show off a few of the boards I've put together over the past few months. There's some cool stuff on there that I think a few of you will actually get a kick out. Some old game ads, artwork, and some genuinally funny shit... much of which I've actually been sharing here for the past month. If you've got the time to kill you might get a kick out of some of this.

Cool people wouldn't have edited out the typo they made in cool.

You know instead of talking about how cool am I or am not, perhaps we could instead talk about some of my more interesting "Pins" from the world's most kickass Pintrest account such as this gem that demonstrates that sex has been used to sell video games since at least 1982:

Or more likely than anything it was featured in an issue of Penthouse or Playboy from around the time.

Needs more violence. (Eating creatures alive isn't nearly violent enough.)
