 1080 is a spin. 3 x 360 = 1080

Yeah played more of the 1080 GC game. Its tracks, apart from a couple are about a 3rd of the length of SSX 3 tracks. There are only, say 16 or so tracks, but since they are so short, it really feels like an arcade game.

It does some things right, great powdery snow effects that pepper your character, a great sense of speed that SSX never matched, clothes that ruffle in the wind, cool rushing wind sound effects. I got to the second avalanche level and its a little ridiculous, try and try again.

I like the gate challenges the most, its like a slalom but each gate gives you +2 seconds so you have to make it to the end, get all the gates without running out of time.

Open environment? Does that mean we don't have to access ski courses through in game menus?

I guess it's like SSX3 so you can cruise about to gates to start challenges, or just hit up a menu and directly go there.

This would be so neat. A relaxing cruise watching the nice vistas between challenges.

Thats part of what I loved about SSX. In 1080 for instance you have a menu you click on a track and that's it, you play the track. In SSX and this game you have a whole mountain (two in We Ski) and you start on a slope and meander about looking for what you want, you can mess about and practice tricks on the way down deciding what you want to do. Otherwise you can just hit start and select the exact thing you want.
