Here people who had hands on state the see the batt life inicator and ac hookup for recharging.So the final should have it, more pressing is the lack of any rumble feedback but the same rules apply Nintendo has said it will have and I'm sure it will.
Oh yeah, the final will have to have battery. From my involvement with prototype electronics, the battery is usually the last thing to be done, since in many of these they are custom formed to fit whatever cavity is left inside. It's pretty clear that Nintendo is a ways away from real production on the U (given how they were essentially hiding the actual console and up in the air about many features).
