Today's reveal seems more like a trailer for the April direct. A way to shut up the leakers. I wonder if we'll see third parties start talking about their games now, or if Nintendo has them all in an iron grip to keep mum untill the Direct to end all directs.
From my memory the broad details of the Switch were out there, that it was a handheld that went into a dock so you could use it on your TV - and had detachable joypads. But I don't remember any images getting out. There were convincing mock-ups, like a football shaped tablet.
If you want a trip down memory lane search for "Nintendo NX leaks" or similar.
I'd forgotten it was called "Nintendo NX"
Eurogamer mocked this up based on what they had been told about the NX:
Reddit User posted these of the NX (fakes obviously)
Pocket Gamer made their own render based on what they had been told:
Gamse Radar applied a lot less effort by butchering a Wii U
Heh, I don't remember any of those. Either I didn't pay much attention to the rumors at the time, or my memory is failing; probably both.
I remember the football shaped one. Dodged a bullet there.
Radio silence.
So PH Brazil is saying Microsoft has more games coming to Switch 2 then any other publisher "there's ALOT"
Sounds like they're all in. What games can we expect from the past and present?
I would like:
The Rare Collection
New Perfect Dark
Elder scrolls
Doom
Maybe Halo and Gears but only if they have gyro aiming.
Yeah, other than maybe some leaked information, I don't think you're going to get anything of real depth and substance until that Nintendo direct in April.
After watching that launch video, I'm almost surprised it didn't end with, "This is all we're giving you. Now shut the fuck up and play pokémon again."

Neat, I guess. Probably be something I’ll rarely if ever use though.
It'll be used for one game: Mario Paint 2025
I thought Mario Paint was really cool back in the day. Played it for a couple of hours then never touched it again.
I’d do the same thing with a Mario Paint 2025. “This thing is so cool!” Play it for a couple of hours, never touch it again.
I'll share my penis drawings with the gang through my official Mario Paint thread.
Like any true man of culture.
I'm sure Nintendo will come up with some cool uses for it in Mario Party games, having to trace stuff or something. I think it could really add to a lot of games, were it not that it's only available when in docked mode.
I can also totally see Nintendo release a set of special slippers that would then tie in to an ice skating game of sorts.
I do like mouse controls for a lot of traditional PC strategy and sim games. SimCity works better with a mouse. Heroes of might and magic works better with a mouse. It might be kind of cool to have those games on the switch 2.
Usually you have interviews and press hands on and videos and game announcements.
Instead radio silence. The only decent thing is Digital Foundrys tech insights, though it's still mostly speculation.
