Wrong, you had 1:1 control in Elebits at the end of 2006

Wrong! LOL Elebits mostly used IR controls, not motion. It had some tilt functions, but from what I remember, they didn't work all that well (trying to turn a door knob was hella annoying).

You are forgetting what IR does in Elebits, it enables motion controls to be accurate. The sensor bar is detecting the exact position of the wii remote and allows you to use depth positioning to accurately rotate objects and move them in and out of the screen.

 Hmm, couldn't a mouse do the same thing, though? Maybe not, I guess. I admit, I only played Elebits on a rental back in December 2006, so I may be forgetting stuff.

No a mouse couldn't do Elebits. You cant gauge 3-D depth or rotate objects with a mouse in the same way.
