As well as keeping up with Kuroko and Daiya, I finally started watching Yowamushi Pedal. It's been great so far, likeable characters, quite fun and exciting to watch.
Why does the guy on the left look psychotic compared to the other two?
I've watched the first 7eps of Guilty Crown as it's what the studio did prior to Attack on Titan.
And...... it's okay. Just okay.
It splices together various anime tropes and ideas, never feels remotely original or really engaging. Feels like it's struggling for its own identity. It looks very polished and nice though. So there is this guy who can pull out voids from people which are like Green Lantern constructs. And the world is like Code Geass with rebels and the international peacekeeping force i.e dictators abusing positions etc.
It feels like Code Geass only boring.
Music can be awesome though.
Big anime update from me, I finished Fist of the North Star 2, which is part of the overall 80s series after the Rao story arc and finishes the series as a whole.
It's more epic shit from this series. It's a lot more crazy and less classical than the Rao storyarc and it goes so leftfield at times it has me wondering if the original writer did it or not. It goes by at a breathless pace at first but really drags towards the last 7 or so episodes when I just wanted it to end. The ending was pretty great. Although it's not as good as the Rao story arc its still pretty high quality in its own right and fans will have to see it as it ties into the events of series one pretty heavily.
I also started New Fist of the North Star the 3 part OVA and I think it's set after the events of series 2 as Ken has the horse with the eye patch. It has much more modern animation but the music and character models are lacking something from the 80s series. It was this 80s look that still defines FOTNS and many other 80s series like Defenders of the Earth, GI Joe, Transformers etc. When the cheesy music and chunky detailed character models aren't there it feels a bit like an imitation rather than the authentic thing.
Funimation Licenses Studio Trigger's Ninja Slayer Anime Series
Picked up a few series on DVD/Bluray:
- Angel Beats - horribly expensive for 13 episodes
- Blood + Part Two - part 1 is rare and being scalped by fuckers on ebay and amazon
- Fairy Tail part 15
- Psycho Pass complete series 1, episodes 1 - 22
- High School of the Dead
- Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple
Also updated the OP big list with FOTNS 2 and The Devil is a part timer. Also considered adding anime movies but it felt wrong putting movies for series like Fairy Tail separately.

He's Naruko, a sprinter. He's actually a pretty cool dude, if a bit hyperactive. But he's alright.
The real psycho dude in this series is, of course...Midousuji.
WTF is this?

It's.... watchable. Actually it can be really funny at times when it concentrates on the human relationships, shame its always interupted by crappy half nekkid chick with sword and robots.

I finally finished Yowamushi Pedal. It was great, consistently fun and exciting all the way through the end.
Oh yeah, very quickly Naruto basically became Bleach, or vice versa. Same studio, same format, super long battles with lots of twists. I'm on the ninja trials in the forest.
