Then they emailed some questions to CD PROJEKT RED and they replied that Cyberpunk uses DLSS in all modes.
DF then tried to explain it but it was a very egg on face moment in the podcast, Alex looked like he wanted to testify behind a curtain.
I had speculated on a few scenarios but according to Alex it was hard for him to spot at such a low resolution as 1080p.
And that the effect work was such low quality it was masking the telltale signs of DLSS.
So the takeaway is that it's use is so bad they can't even tell when its being used I guess?
Richard was also kind of weird, I kept thinking, you literally went hands on in both modes and told us it wasn't using DLSS.
Then they went on to discuss Star Wars Outlaws. Oliver even said it was extraordinary for it to be ported. He and Alex said it was using raytracing and that there was no way to turn it off. They agreed the visual quality was good but the fps was 19fps at lowest to much higher in the cutscenes.
They seem genuinely shocked it's being ported to the point that even PC centric Alex wants to interview them.
This will be a fun port.
They are usually around 5 minute videos with interviews mixed with new Switch 2 game footage.

It's good enough that I have to keep checking the text at the bottom of the screen to see if it's still Switch 2 footage or not.

Looks a lot better than I expected. I hope the 1080p mode portable holds up.
It is, I ordered it and its arriving June 7th.

Looks very nice, the character models and colours pop more.

It seems to be following a pattern at this point, Switch 2 has better image quality, DLSS and more RAM I guess.
There are some instances where the lighting looks better on Series S, but viewed through a blur, I'd easily go for the clarity.
You guys probably haven't been keeping up, as Switch 2 will be my only console for the next few years I've been curious as to how it performs.
Recently theres been various comparison videos, SF6, Yakuza 0, Cyberpunk mainly.
It appears, despite the specs numbers that Switch 2 versions of games do indeed look equivalent and, well, better than the same game running on Series S and PS4 pro. From the small selection of launch titles.

Particularly image quality. I'm quite impressed. There are some bits where those other consoles seem to have better lighting. But it's better lighting with overall blurry image quality.
I'm so sick of Switch 1 blur, even Mclassic can only do so much with DRS.
