Steam Link
Okay, well I thought that would have been a couple of hours project. Talk about easy!
There is a steamlink ap specifically that allows you to do exactly what I needed and it worked out of the box within a minute, along with controller support.
The only issue is that you cannot have steam running in the background, as the steam link will stream all desktop activity to the second computer. Great!

So the hardware is gone, long long gone, but there is the steamlink ap that allows you to use your android or iOS devices to stream from your gaming PC to a divce and then you stream your device how you usualy would (using chromecast for example).
Has anyone here used any form of steamlink regularly? Beyond the challenge of just getting it working I have not, but am now wondering if I can stream from my regular PC to my linux laptop.
