I tried posting to vader's megaman review in two different browsers. Not bitching, just letting you know in case it is indicative of a larger issue.
aspro said:Using Opera, the newest firefox and IE8, I'm not able to post comments to reviews I get the "This comment was almost lost! Try again, there was an error." message.

Well that was a stupid error. Fixed - make sure to refresh to make sure your cache is updated.

Thanks.
Thanks for the heads up. Confirmed the issue, but the fix is going to be delayed as I am in the middle of another big back-end update that has to get done before I can move on to other things. Hopefully this weekend.
EDIT: Nevermind that, I fixed it. Stumbled across the exact issue so I could fix it without having to debug.

Fixed, but you've really gotta work on the error reports. "F-up" isn't exactly descriptive.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileA couple of things, and a suggestion. If I am not providing enough detail please let me know. I've tried these in IE8 and Opera (current).
- When I try to delete emails they do not delete. A confirmation window comes up, I click okay then then nothing happens. This happens when I try to delete a single e-mail or multiple.
- In e-mail, if I select a friend from the pull-down then complete the subject line and content upon sending I get the message, "Recipient username must be at least 3 characters (8:23:16)" If I go ahead and type the recipient name in the name field it works fine.
The suggestion is to give different labels to the two save buttons on the Skins page. Maybe the bottom one could be "Apply Skin/ Apply Changes" and the top one could be "Save Skin". I thin ksome of my earlier problems was due to my confusion between the two functions of these buttons.
I'm aware of the UI complications on the skins page. The intended changes are to remove Save and Load to Custom buttons, remove the Name field, hide the customization options by default and add a Save As button. Choosing a skin from the dropdown would autoload the fields, and Edit this Skin would show the customization options. Save would save changes to the existing skin, while Save As would prompt for a name for the skin. This will be part of the later changes to include colour swatches and preview.

Maybe that's why I can't use the comments box on GG Weekly. Ah nevermind then, at home I use Firefox. I should be fine.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileHoly shit, I forgot. Yeah, I used to use IE6 while at work at nights. A while ago, though, the VGPress developed sentience, and the proxy at work started blocking the site (category: games). I haven't done nightshifts in a while, though.
Thanks for the heads-up on the correction.
I had also already fixed the IE issue. I posted that comment in IE testing to ensure it was resolved.
The all comments, all blogs, and all reviews links have all been fixed.
And the paging for topics and in the news have been updated to work without JavaScript (aside from the dropdown menu selections).
