So it automatically logs me out? When exactly and why?
It was a one-time thing. There was information in the session that had to be added, if you didn't have that information, you were logged out. You will have that information it every time you're logged in now.
If you don't sign in for over a week your cookie will expire and you'll be logged out, though.
