We do? Can it use more than one? Do the Wii-motes have to be motion plus? Can you use it outside of the same room? What is the battery life like (which will determine it's usefulness) What is the final weight with batteries (which also determines it's usefulness)?

As you said, we broadly know about the power, but the release is so far off, all of that could change.  Summer 2012? Says who? Everyone I've heard says November.

EDIT: Not trying to be a prick here or anything, it's just that IMO we really don;t know all that much about the U.

Yes we know most of that.

You can use more than one Wii U controller per console, you can use 2 but since they are not sold seprately it's a moot point anyway. The wii motionplus requirement seems like a mis-translation and even if there is that requirement they cost a pittance to add to your existing wii remotes. Being able to re-use controllers you alredly own is a plus point, not a minus. The Wii U was designed to be used in the same room, Iwata and Miyamoto have both said that, obviously people will try and stretch the distance and may even get results but it was designed to be used in the same room as the console. Battery life? Unknown but its a big unit and can have a big battery, that's nothing to worry about.

We know from developers that it will be (bare minimum) as powerful as PS3 and 360 and most probably above that - developers have said 50% more powerfukl than PS3. Unless you are some anal GAF tech guy who wants clock and buffer speeds, that is all you need to know.

All the important things we know about, to call it vapourware is a huge exagerration.

Two buffers at one o'clock.
