Holy fucking shit.

So in this tin pot little country (TPLC), they don;t sell or support Tivo. The first and absolute best PVR/ DVR availabel to humankind.

So I have researched for 2 weeks the next best thing and found fuckall.

I want a PVR/ DVR that I can thumbs up/ down programming, subscribe to "season tickets" and that's about it.

I curently have a $99 job from Aldi which is brain dead and looking to spend about $400 on a DVR.

Do you use one, if so do you like it? 'Cause at this point I am desperate.  All the electronic review sites are consumer created down here, so none of them have credibility and they are contradictory.

Thanks all.

Can't you look at some reviews and find the best alternative?

The only DVR I have is through Directv and I like it a lot.  It has lots memory space.  Is Direct even an option where you live? What kind of subscriptions are you talking about?

No DTV.  I loved DTV, their early PVR's were crap, but then I moved continents.
