Yes. High School of the Dead is an ecchi fanservice show, which it was always intended to be. I found it to be very funny, and story and characters still hold up despite the fanservice.

I enjoyed it, it was slightly bizaare to me how halfway through it became about boob and crotch shots though Grinning I think it was cancelled, no second season.

Anyhow I've been ploughing through Bleach, series 6, 7 and 8 which is the same storyline following on from the end of season 3. And whilst most of series 6 and 7 are crappy but watchable, part 2 of series 8 suddenly became pretty damned awesome with the Greenjow fight. It's a bit of a rerun of series 2 and 3 but the conflicts and confrontations are getting better.

I believe it was increased because the illustrator, Shōji Satō, is known for doing henti work, and his fans wanted more dirty stuff, so he "serviced his fans" a bit in that regard. It's not officially cancelled yet. Both the manga and the anime are on hiatus. Nobody seems to know why. I read some vague statement that one of the creators got sick or something. Not sure if true.  They released a single chapter of the manga a few months ago, but nothing else since. I hope the maga will be finished someday at least.

I haven''t seen any of Bleach. I'll add it to my queue.

Bleach is not something I'd wholeheartedly recommend.

Here's how I would rate Bleach by series:

  • Series 1 - C
  • Series 2 - B+
  • Series 3 - B+
  • Series 4 - B
  • Series 5 - B
  • Series 6 - C - (minus)
  • Series - 7 - D
  • Series 8 - C-
  • Series 9 - C (so far)

It's always at least watchable, it's never got to the point where I think, crap I can't watch this anymore. Some of the fights go on for 4 episodes which is like 1 hour 20 minutes. Series 2 and 3 are the highlights but you have to watch series 1 to "get" series 2 and 3.

Attack on Titan does have an awesome intro.

"Sie sind das essen, Nein wir sind die jäger!"

That would translate to "They are the meal, No we are the hunters!"

That is what the Funimation dub says the German at the beginning is saying. It is saying that in subtitles.

But it could also be:

"Sie sind das essen und wir sind die jäger!"

That would translate to "They are the meal and we are the hunters!"

Been doing some research on the artists behind the songs of my favourite animes:

FMA Artists:

  • Nico Touches the Walls
  • S-C-A-N-D-A-L
  • Fukuhara Miho
  • L'arc en ciel

Fairy Tail artists:

  • Funkist
  • Idoling
  • SuG
  • Egao no Mahou
  • +Plus
  • Daisy X Daisy (best track)
  • JAMIL
  • Milky Bunny
  • Tenohira? - HERO
  • GOING UNDER GROUND
  • BoA

This is the tune from FMA Sacred Star of Milos movie, the first minute gives me epic chills.

If you've ever felt down and depressed, watching this video can't help but  make you smile.

Searching for artists from anime soundtracks like L'arc en ciel is already paying off.

Can't help but smile seeing/hearing this. Lots of westerners in the crowd too. Madison Square Garden.

I've been watching Sword Art Online. It's pretty good so far, and it's getting better with each new episode.

^ That's one of the reasons why I decided to watch it. I never would have read the Rosario + Vampire manga series if it weren't for Amazon consistantly suggesting it; they seem to know my tastes well.

Anyway, I'm on episode 13 now, and I'm enjoying it quite a lot. It's a slower paced anime, so don't expect crazy action every two mintues, but there's some really cool and funny stuff in there.

My mind is full of fu**

The last 4 episodes of Code Geass R2 is just messing with me. I don't know who to root for, everything is flipped on its head, it's like Miyamoto came along and flipped over the tea table. The series seemed to reach a natural ending... but then you see on the disc there are 4 more eps and it starts to get crazy.

So anyway I finally found out why the end of Bleach series 8 doesn't match with series 9. Apparentely, season 9 is just filler and you don't get back to the main story till season 10. Only they don't tell you this. WTF?!

I've been watching more Clannad... I know this has its fans but it truly feels like a show about nothing. Why do I watch this? Guy in school randomly helps girls for no particular reason. This time, cleaning out a garden for 4 episodes.

Shit, I just read the plot for Clannad After Story, the follow up series to Clannad:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clannad_(anime)#Plot

I'm not watching that shit. From pointless to heavy depression and more of this alternate world bullshit that's never fleshed out. no

There are few scant moments in the show that remind me of Full Metal Panics' funniest moments and if that continued it would be awesome. But noooooooo. And what's this weird tease they do with this alternate world robot creature thing?

Also I finished Code Geass.

Bra-fucking-vo.

Now that's how you nail an ending. Despite some inconsistent elements in season 1, this is a great show, full of surprises. In my top 5 anime, easily. It flips your stomach in the last 4 episodes but makes it worth it.

I was also watching more Death Note where they introduced the new N.

This is also a great show, if you avoid the live action movies. It's sometimes exhaustive to watch but it's well worked and very clever.

I read all 12 volumes of the Death Note manga. Loved every page of it.

I'll have to check out the anime someday; neither of my anime services offer it. Sad

Finished Sword Art Online. Great anime series. I had a lot of fun watching it.  Season II will be simulcast this July. I can't wait. Happy

Heh. Out of curiosity, I checked Crunchyroll's store to see how much Season 1 would cost on Bluray. Okay, 25 S1 episodes are broken up into 4 volumes, and each volume is $96 USD! GASP Or $384 + shipping for the complete season! WTF?! I know anime can be expensive, but, holy shit, I wasn't expecting that. LOL
