I first watched it when it came on Starz back in May and I still end up watching it about once a week.  It's just the perfect mix of action, comedy and seventies musical hits.  I love these characters so much.  It's the best superhero movie I've seen this year, even if it first came out last year.

There was one good fun fight last week that got people excited though.

Matthew was fantastic and overruled a lot of shoddy dialogue that came off as complete and utter tripe at times if you were paying attention, however it would actually be incorrect to say he was the only reason it was good. His perfromance while fantastic, wasn't the only one, Woody was also very good in the role he was given, he was just creatively less interesting. And thematically him being a spin on alpha male logic works. Plus the actual look and presentation of the show was superb, and in the realm of TV none of them have the consistency in their presentation that first season does by default, since a lot of them use a revolving door of directors. The ending is fucking stupid, but overall TD1 had a great sense of pace and build up.

This season just sucks. They lost the unique look they had by switching settings, the direction and cinematography has been a massive step down and was one of the shows defining qualities, and plot wise they keep focusing on shit no one in the audience should give a fuck about. Rachel McAdams doing a solid job with what should be a terrible character and the casper case stuff aside (which frankly should be what the whole show should be built around), this season stinks. It's a waste of Vaughn and Ferrel, and my boy Tim Riggins, what a disappointment.

And the dialogue is terrible, I don't expect every show to deliver on the glory that is The Wire or Deadwood, much less live up to the silver tongue sharpness of Justified, but Nick Pizzolatto tends to go up his own ass with his pulp while saying absolutely nothing.
