I know what you're saying, but I wouldn't put modern medicine in the same league as the internet - choosing whether to "live or die" vs. "getting my next email" is hardly worth comparing is it.

Two things here,

1 - Nobody ever seems to understand the of extremes to demonstrate a poing.  Legitimizing this by calling it, "Just one man's fair opinion" is apalling when placed parallel to something immediately blatantly invaluable such as modern medicine.  And if he had never personally benefitted from modern medicine (vaccinations and quality of life aside), he'd still be a sociopathic narcissist for something that has literally saved billions of lives.

2 - Limiting the scope of the Internet's value to "getting my next email" is incredibly short-sighted.  We've created an essentially uncensorable sum-total of the knowledge of the entirety of humanity available to anyone with a connection.  The educational value of this alone in places that would ordinarily be segregated from any significant level of academia is staggering.

The point is the phrasing "Anything good".  Really?  NOTHING?
