Its a brand new Uncharted game. Insomniac just said congrats to some other dev for their Resistance NGP game. Its PSP all over again. The same damn games you get on the PS3, with worse developers working on them and you need to pay for a different system to play them. Make them playable on PS3 and its ok.

Well I guess we'll have direct feed media soon? And then we can see how close to PS3 they are.

I bet after the show Sony JP will put up some media.

"The rear touch panel is FIVE INCHES, same size as the game screen, so where you touch on the rear touch pad is where it is on the screen "

WTF?

I think people would have gone more bonkers over it if the Uncharteds and Killzones were PS3 ports with cross platform play. Will the market be able to support 2x the games from each AAA series at the same high price?

Exactly the issue, if this thing allows for intersystem play it would be perfect. Of course have your original NGP games that make use of its unique features. But for the games that will clearly be portable versions of PS3 games just make it for both.

Good point, but this is all just the showcase stuff.

This thing is looking like it belongs in a tech musuem, not the bus.  I'm just waiting for the price at this point (and if they are going to force 3G for Japanese market) and subsidize it that way (the way smartphones are subsidized and paid for by the user over the course of a contract).

Truth be told, you can't play certain PS1 games over the PS3 effectively now (and that uses the same wi-fi).  You can only play RPGs, or anythign that does not require timing (even something as simple as Hot Shots). So cross-platform I don't think is possible.

Huh? I think you're talking about a diff thing. Just the same as Portal 2 for PS3, and Portal 2 for PC and for Mac. Players can play with each other, but with their own copy of the game. Not stream from PS3 or something. Just have Killzone 3 available on PSP2 format as well as PS3 Blu Ray. So PSP2 players can coop/against PS3 players.

What? PS1 games work fine on the PS3? What does that have to do with wi-fi. Are you talking about the streaming from PS3 to PSP?

I am just saying put the games on the PS Store, when you buy it you get it for both.

Interesting, the NGP will display everyone around you who is playing the NGP. Then you can click on their avatar and see what they have been playing. You can even filter to see who is playing a certain game.

Not that it is no longer relevant, but I was talking about the current way you can play your PS1 games on your PSP (using your PS3 to transmit them).
