At least two actresses have been approached about starring in the new GHOSTBUSTERS reboot!

As Paul Feig’s female-centered GHOSTBUSTERS reboot gets closer to reality, the early stages of casting the film have begun and it seems like Feig is currently meeting with talent he might be interested in.

First up is Rebel Wilson, who gave an interview to Today and admitted that she has met about GHOSTBUSTERS:

"I have had a meeting," she said, adding that she'd want to see the finished script. But she's clearly interested: "I would even do that without the money truck. I'd do that for free. I probably shouldn't say that live on TV."

Then, there is Jennifer Lawrence who told MTV UK that she has met with Feig (she doesn’t specifically say it was about GHOSTBUSTERS although that was the topic being asked about):

"I actually met with the director (Feig). I had dinner with him. I sure did."

None of this actually means that Wilson or Lawrence will even end up in the film. It's a long process and they are probably meeting with a lot of actresses right now and of course that would include the hottest star in the world right now (Lawrence) and another one that is on the rise (Wilson). It seems that we are still a ways off from any official casting announcements and this news might ultimately be meaningless but it at least gives us an idea on where they are at with the project.

I would love a 21 jump street MIB crossover. Female ghostbusters should be an all SNL cast really. Though I guess McCarthy is a good choice too.

This Is What Ghostbusters 3 Could Have Been Like

In an annals of doomed films, any and all potential follow-ups to Ghostbusters II rank pretty high. From Dan Aykroyd’s “The Guys Go to Hell” plan to whatever other ideas Aykroyd tossed around in the last 20 years, none of the potential sequels ever got anyone excited enough to get moving, and thanks to the Sony hack, we now know what the last shot-down Ghostbusters 3 pitch was before Harold Ramis died, Ivan Reitman dropped out as director, and the entire thing got placed in Paul Feig’s hands.

Remember all that talk about this sequel having to do with the elder Ghostbusters passing on the proton beam torches to a younger squad of specter seekers? Thanks to ComicBookMovie, we now know who some of these new characters would have been and who the studio had in mind for each role. Of course, all of this is completely in the past now, as the email came well before the upcoming female-fronted revamp was in the works.

Review: THE TAKING OF TIGER MOUNTAIN, A Wartime Epic With A Sense Of Adventure:

Tsui Hark scores a resounding success with his spirited adaptation of classic adventure novel Tracks in the Snowy Forest. Again exploring the visual possibilities of 3D, while eschewing the typically austere tone of most wartime epics, The Taking of Tiger Mountain proves consistently entertaining.

For the most part, The Taking of Tiger Mountain is a breath of fresh air in a genre stale and stiff from too many stuffy, pompous party-approved history yawns. Tsui fills his film with shootouts, explosions, ski stunts, animal attacks and even an extended sequence in which our hero takes a crap. Brimming with energy, action and genuinely interesting events from Chinese history, Tsui Hark has delivered an unashamedly entertaining holiday romp.
