HDD Partition Issues in Vista--fixed
It would be helpful if you defined "Failed". You should be able to click on a partition you don't want, and press delete (NOT format) such that the space shows "unallocated". Once done, right-click the partition you want and choose Extend.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileAlternatively, you could boot up a Linux Live CD and open qtparted or gparted (depending on whether you're in KDE or GNOME) and just right-click the partition and choose resize.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobileOkay, It's all fixed now. Thanks, Yoda. It was the "unallocated" part that was messing me up. I switched them to free space somehow, and it wouldn't let me extend.

I'd like to delete two of the partitions on Disk 1, and have just one big 37.26 GB HDD. I plan to give it to my sister so that she can backup her stuff. I found a utility to manage partitions in Vista, but I don't see how to do it. All of my attempts to delete and extend partitions has failed. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
