I just got off the phone with the EB Games I pre-ordered it from, and it is confirmed that I will be playing it by tomorrow morning. Anyone else playing it? I'll update with my impressions later. In the mean time, the infamous trailer that convinced me to buy my PS3 60gb:

Finished the game, took me 7 hours so its rather short. The last few missions, starting with this train level, are spectacular and what I expected out of this game from the start. The environments start to have diversity, there is some gameplay variety, and the story gets better.

The last level is a but annoying cause it uses the infinite spawn, invisible checkpoint system a bit too much, still its epic. Final boss is decent.

Last few hours made it well worth it, good stuff. Still not the most amazing single player FPS I have played, but really well done. Oh I have to mention the music in this game which is one of the best scores I have heard this gen.

I played some online last night, yeah this is really really good. its messy at first since you have no skills and start off as a grunt but as you play you earn exp and start to build your character. There are so many rewards and pearks to learn, it will take a long time to master. The maps are good, there are only a few types of games but it works. Great squad based combat.

I used to think 7 hours was short, but in shooters, if the core gameplay is good dont you replay levels a lot for fun?

Brutes are huge dudes with chainguns, to kill them you have to shoot their helmet which will stun them and cause them to turn around exposing energy tanks they have on their back, shoot the tanks until it explodes.

Yeah I will replay it a lot but the core single player combat in any FPS never was that replayable to me. Its probably why I like my more adventure style FPSs like HL cause the focus isnt all on the combat. Now take a game like RE4 and the combat facinates me, I could play the same area 50 times to try out different things, I cant do that with a FPS.

OMG I love multiplayer!!!!

I have medic and I am almost to engineer and now the game is really opening up. I learned that when you join a squad you can spawn at the squad leader, add that to the higher level guys that can create spawn points and you got incredible power struggles in matches. Plus I am starting to play games where all sorts of classes are on display, you got cloaked snipers, guys summoning airstrikes, the engineers making turrets and my favorite, the spy class. There is nothing like noticing one of the guys in your group doesn't exactly fit in, then taking him out. It is so addictive. The only issue is too few games modes so it will get repetitive. Still its a ton of fun.

That's very COD like.

Have you checked out the lastest Conduit preview in the thread? They say it is like Half Life, but then another says that it's like Goldeneye.
