After reading GG's MIA people from the internets and also Leo's topic about his procedure, it got me thinking: Suppose you pass away because of a sudden illness, or an accident. Do you have any measures taken in regards to your online stuff? Would you suddenly vanish and become another memory?

I'm not getting any younger, I'm almost 40 and to be honest my work carries a significant amount of stress, not to mention I have not really taken care of myself because of work. Fortunately my last lab tests were all alright but still. I wonder what would happen if one day I kicked the bucket. I guess my Steam account would be used by my daughters.

That is still 23 years away for me so it would be hard to imagine. But when I signed up for Gamespot I didn't imagine that I would be posting on video game websites 9 years later.

Definitely!  I see no reason to give up this place because I'm older.

So this brings up a good point, what happens to the site if something happens to Yoda? We need contingency plans, a backup site etc. A point where we can all still communicate.

If I pass on I will post this as my final message:

No plans here, but no plans for real life either. I'll just disappear someday I guess. If I'm missing for 6-8 months or so, I'm probably dead.

Same here.  I try to post something to let you guys know if I plan to be away for any length of time during which I am unsure of what level or frequency of online access I will have.

Otherwise I post at least semi-regularly.  Even when I'm not playing any games or haven't been following game news I'll still make some smart alec comment here or there.

If I disapear for several months without explanation, I probably expired.

Miiverse isn't a bad idea because if you have a NNID Nintendo Network ID, that is going to be carried across to the next console and the next presumably. And you can all jump in each others activity feed and/or one comment thread.

But what about a new website? I can't make anything you can interact with.

I've thought of this before. You guys say if you don't post for months. Shit if I don't post for a week without notice I am probably dead. Well first check my gaming online accounts, if I have not logged in any of them then I am certainly dead. I would always let you guys know if I am going away. You are all friends to me and always available where ever thanks to my phone so I don't see why I would stop posting but life can change stuff, but I would let you know.

Now if I did die, no one I know knows I post here, I don't have a significant other I share stuff with so no one would know to tell you guys. I guess you can hunt down a best friend of mine named segafanac on PSN, he would know if I am dead or not.

Freedom the RoF could be a refugee camp before you guys figure what to do. But why are we killing yoda? I bet he out lives all of us.
