I just got back from seeing Inception, the second it ended I wanted to stay in my seat and wait for the next showing. I was blown away. I was left with a feeling of energy, my mind is running laps trying to get a grasp of the levels of awesome I just witnessed. Rarely do movies leave you pumped, the first that comes to mind is The Matrix, I will forever remember the first time I saw it, I will never forget the feeling I had leaving the theater, this is kind of like that. I hesitate to say its on that level cause the Matrix is to me a legendary movie and I am not sure this is on that level.

I will say that Christopher Nolan understands the art of the build up better than almost anyone right now. This movie builds up the action, the excitement and it keeps building to a crescendo. It kept me hooked from start to finish and it never once wavered. His last movie The Dark Knight which is one of my all time favorites did the same thing, it was a movie that kept building in tension to the point where it was almost overbearing, that makes for a powerful film. The movie is so stylish, one of my friends summed it up best "that movie was pimp". It's an action movie that treats your brain with respect, you have a lot to think about all while some extremely bad-ass cool shit is going on.

What can I say about Leonardo DiCaprio, the man is on fire. As with basically every film he is in now he is fantastic. This is an ensemble piece though and everyone shines. It's got great directing, great acting, exciting action and to top it off a score that is mesmerizing. The music is so powerful and injects energy into every scene, brilliant stuff.

I love sci-fi, I love action, this is exactly my kind of movie. I see that some people didn't like it that much, ok, it is a different movie not everyone will like it. I just know that this is going into my favorites list and I highly doubt any movie that will come out this year will top it.

Nolan and Dicaprio were ace in this.

Great film with some flaws.

Definitely wouldn't call it "Move of the Year" but it is one that anybody who's interested definitely should see.

I haven't really loved Christopher Nolan films as much as everyone else.

I saw the Prestige, the batman films and Memento. All were solid and enjoyable but not amazing or anything. I'll watch Inception on dvd a year from now.
