Internet is back.

My internet was slowed.  So slow that no web browser would actually ever load a page. Probably because even though I have Automatic Updates turned off MS is still doing shit in the background.

Steam could still connect (and download huge updates without asking), and PSN would still connect.

But anyway, apparently E3 has happened, so no spoiers, I am reading the 1400 stoires in my news pile in chronologicial order.

NOA: Lot of faith guys, lot of faith.

Bayonetta 2 will be launched for Wii U this October in Europe, Nintendo has announced.

The game will also include the original Bayonetta, updated for Wii U, and Nintendo-exclusive costumes.

Today Nintendo revealed a brand new Legend of Zelda game for Wii U. Longtime Zelda mastermind Eiji Aonuma explained that the new game will be wide open as opposed to past regimented games in the series (specifically Wind Waker), showing a sprawling landscape with mountains and fields.

Well, we knew this was where it was heading.

Long-running farming RPG series Harvest Moon is getting a new 3DS entry later this year entitled Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley.

Robio, explain-WTF? I though Aksys was doing Harvest Moon now and it was called "Definitely-Not-Harvest-Moon".

Uuughhhhh let's see if I can explain this. Oh and welcome back by the way.

1. Japanese company Marvelous Interactive owns the Bokujō Monogatari/Farm Story series. In the West this series has been localized and published by Natsume since its incarnation. Natsume also owns the rights to the Harvest Moon name, not Marvelous.

2. Marvelous Interactive also owns XSEED Games that has been publishing most of their other games in West for the last 10 years or so.

3. At some unspecified time Marvelous had a lovely chat with Natsume and told them they'd be handling the publishing of the Farm Story through XSEED beginning with their most recent game Story of Seasons and didn't have need for them any longer. Natsume told them that was an excellent idea and wished them luck. However before they left they reminded Marvelous that they don't own the rights to the Harvest Moon name, so they couldn't call it Harvest Moon: Story of Seasons, and that they should start buying lube because their assholes were about to have something uncomfortable jammed up it.

And that brings us to the events of last week where XSEED announced their new game simply called Story of Seasons, and Natsume announced a new Harvest Moon game which they had developed themselves called Harvest Moon: the Lost Valley.

The end result is Natsume is going to fuck over Marvelous and the super generically named Story of Seasons. The early word from E3 is that Lost Valley is a pretty good game too.

It'll go down in the annals of gaming history. What a botch.
