Iga's road trip in the USA!

Tomorrow my sister and I will fly to Louisiana. We will then hire a car and travel through Cajun country, then through Florida. In Florida we will visit Miami and Orlando.

It is a road trip, the exact route and timetable will be decided on a whim, so I cannot say when I will be in the neighbourhood. But I will keep this blog updated.

Actually we are going out to eat Cuban tonight! Looking forward to it. Cuban food is not something that is easily available in the Netherlands.

About sandwiches my sister knows a really good Chicken Sandwich here. She has been in Miami before.

Dude, Cuban food is almost impossible to find anywhere outside of Florida (except for Cuba I suppose). Anyway, glad you're getting some. By far it's some of my favorite cuisine in the world. The Cuban Sandwich is my favorite thing in most Cuban cafes, but anything that says "Mojo" will be awesome too. Really, if you're going somewhere that's even half decent, you'll love no matter what you get.

I am at work damn you. If you want the authentic Cuban experience head to little Havana and eat at the most famous Cuban restaurant, Versailles. Warning you should know some Spanish when you head there.

Recap from the last two days.

Kennedy Space Station visit was cool. The Space Shuttle Simulator was fun and the Saturn V rocket was impressive.

The tour in the rocket yard was also informative and the bus tour is certainly worth the money.

Also they were quite melo-dramatic. With dramatic music and a bit full of themeselves. Sorry, but the Saturn V rocket is not the most impressive technology ever. For godsake the surface of the moon is better explored than our oceans.

But all things considerd NASA needs to be funded better. All space agencies should.

Miami is windy. We walked around the beach, the botanical garden, walked around Lincoln road and saw the Martian. Good movie, reminded me of Gravity. Then we ate at the Cuban restaurant.

P.S. I bought Superman The Red Son en Watchmen. Robio you better be pround of me!

Much better than the giant pieces of lard that walk around Cajun Country. But I am from Europe, so not that special for me. And no, clubbing is boring

Cuban food was good, but in my opion not that special. I found the Cajun food to be much better.
