Wii U7.70
Overall 7.70
I totally forgot to review this so lets do this before the second one hits. At $15 playing old NES ton hacks seemed like a ripoff but like most everything Nintendo does the game is a ton of fun. The amount of content is surprising, there are about 13 games each with 10-25 missions and two 25 mission remix levels. Each mission is basically a series of quick goals, think a longer version of wario ware.

These missions are catered to each game so Mario has you do goals like finish a level without ever stoping. Zelda levels have stuff like clear the bosses as fast as possible. Sometimes they test your knowledge of secrets like find all the hidden 1ups in Mario. Each mission has a score and your rank is based on speed, the better you do the more missions you unlock.

The whole game is surprisingly addicting and never gets boring cause you can jump from one wildly different game to the next at any time. The crazy remix missions are very basic and not really the meat of the game. Do not expect to be playing a large chunk of Mario as link or anything like that.

About the only major complaint I have is that this first remix focuses on early NES games which are almost all arcade like games. I actually think these games play better as small trails like this. Still this is the dumpster of the Nintendo NES lineup. I assume the next one will have far better games to try out. Even with that if you are a fan of time trails, getting high scores and old school gaming in general this game is worth it I think.
