This is the second portable GoW game and it is a far closer representation of a console Gow game in portable form. In the end though its still basically the same exact game, thankfully I think this formula is a blast so it still results in a great game. I guess it is foolish for me to expect a portable game to totally reinvent the combat so I guess its fine that it plays the same as the others. There is one addition and that is the ability to use a flame version of your attacks which hurt armored enemies. Its a decent addition that at least makes you change up strategies every once and a while. The game is at it's best when it is propelling you through great setpieces in classic GoW fashion. This game does not have the same epic scale that the console games have but it still has some great moments. Bosses are pretty cool too, not great but better than the last PSP GoW. I simply had a great time playing it cause I really do love these games. While this isnt as good as any console GoW, it is close. |
