THIS IS A REVIEW OF SINGLE PLAYER PORTION ONLY. The campaign is the same thing you have played in all CoD games. I will say its way better than Black Ops and on par with MW2, not as good as MW1. It has a good mix of environments and gameplay situations. The core combat remains where all you do is shoot what pops up. The story does wrap up and it has its moments but nothing to write home about. The campaign is like a 6. What I love is Spec Ops mode which returns from MW2 with all new missions. This mode turns the MW3 gameplay into an arcade style experience with points, time trials and mini objectives. When you simplify the gameplay to these missions it all of a sudden becomes fun and addicting as hell. There is a good mix of variety to the various missions and all can be done on co-op. I think this mode is fantastic, I wish the entire game was made with a mission structure like this. I am sure the online aspect is amazing as well but it has to be getting repetitive by now right? Right... everyone doesn't seem to care so whatever. These games are at least well made, loads of polish, look great, and are fun to play but change is needed. |

MW2 was the same as this one. Its the spec ops that makes MW2 and MW3 fun.
