I messed around with a few games this weekend. I put about an hour into Link to the Past and Tropical Fruit (I'll never quite understand why people enjoy this game so much), and messed around a little bit with Splatoon and even Fortnight (once again I'll never quite understand why people enjoy this game so much).

I ended up spending most of my time with Langrisser though. Been a very long time since a mobile game has pulled me in like this. Since Friday, I probably put in 10 hours.

I’ve played nothing this week.  I’ve been too busy with work stuff then had a pretty nasty stomach virus this weekend.

I finished the first area of Cuphead. So far it lives up to my expectations. And it's the only game in years I had been looking forward to!

I didn't play anything this week.

But it might change next week.

I know what I'm playing now. I had to have a store hold a copy of Kingdom Hearts: The Story So Far just so I can pick it up.

I looked at stores yesterday and they had tons in stock. I was going to buy it on Wednesday but I looked online today and all the stores had it sold out even on Square-Enix's store page. I asked if one store could hold it. I was looking everywhere for it today.

I have to drive 50 miles round trip to pick it up.

It has Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5 Remix and 2.8: Final Prologue on two discs.

I've debated picking up 2.8. I still need to play Birth by Sleep from the KH 2.5 Remix collection for that matter, but I'm hoping that I can figure out the story of KH3 without having to go through the extra games. Then again, I'm not in any rush to play 3 either. I'm sure the game will be good, but hell I've waited 15 years to play it so what's a few more months?

You should really be more focused on your list instead of playing silly video games.

I have to get caught up before I play the actual Game of the Year (Possibly)

I just reached Wonder Land in Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix.

Resident Evil 2 is a good game. I'm playing Claire's story now. It's shocking it took Capcom TWENTY YEARS before discovering a proper formula for a numbered sequel. Then again, maybe even this doesn't count since it is technically a remake.

One of the site's forefathers.

Play fighting games!

Resident Evil 2 is not only as amazing of a remake as RE2002 was for its time, but it's also the best Resident Evil since RE4 and IMO is actually the better game because it has ALL the elements that make RE what it is/should be, while taking the modern mechanics of RE post RE4 and improving it all. It may be a remake, but it feels even more like an actual new title than the RE1 remake did.

I was sceptical of their ability to do RE2 justice without fully embracing the old style, a la REmake. But they did it and it's amazing. Hats off to Capcom for once again showing everyone how it's done. This is going to be tough to beat for GOTY. The game is brilliant and it's everything I could have hoped for. The user reviews on Steam are glowing...nearly everyone except a few crazy people love it. Sales are high, and apparently Capcom is so happy they may get to work on a Resident Evil 3 remake as well.

Easily the best horror game since the original Dead Space, 11 years ago. Thank you, gods of Capcom!
