Atari haulI found a very nice Atari 2600 haul locally a few days ago. H.E.R.O. and Pengo are both rare games (rated 5 and 6 respectively on Atari Age's Rarity Guide). Amidar is common, but so much fun; all three are great games. That Joystick has different branding but is otherwise exactly the same as my Quickshot joystick that I have been using since the late 80s; so glad to finally have a second one. Happy

I remember Pengo, but the others are completely foreign to me. At any rate, looks like you got yourself a nice little haul. Well done.

"Bought" might not be the right word but I just acquired something that I hope will be wonderful. Today I found out that there was a fan translation of the SaGa 2 remake that S-E did for the DS a few years ago. The original was one of my favorite games on the Gameboy, so even if this isn't much more than a cosmetic remake I'm going to be very happy.

My summer is pretty much set now.  I picked up Prey for PS4.

Plus South Park : The Fractured But Whole for the Switch.

Prey felt like a steal for $20.  It’s a lot of fun.

I'm telling you, I love that game. Pisses me off that it didn't sell better and it seemed to get quite a few bad reviews which I just don't get. Did people think it was going to be a standard FPS like the first game? Not sure what there is to complain about when it's basically Bioshock 4. Reminds me of when Lost Odyssey came out on Xbox 360 and people gave it crap reviews because it was "too much like FF". During that whole "jrpg's are bad" period.

I bought 2 new Switch games in the unlikeliest of places: a carrefour hypermarket. Compare it to a wall mart I guess. Usually their games prices don't drop as fast or as steep as they should, but I found Rime there for 30 (used to be 45) and they had a 30% off sale on select games, including some 1st party Nintendo stuff and I managed to pick up Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for 42 (18 off).

  • Darksiders: Warmastered Edition (PS4) - PlayStation 4

To celebrate my return to the Wii U, I popped into the eShop and grabbed Harvest Moon 64.

I'd forgotten how much quicker paced this game is compared to the modern versions. At any rate it's nice to finally play this again after almost 20 years.

How is it compared to A Wonderful Life? They actually have AWL on the PS4 as a PS2 classic, but it's like $15. I'd like to replay that one day and it would be cool to get trophies for it on PS4, but I'll wait for a sale.

They have very little in common. Wonderful Life was one of the experimental Harvest Moon games, while 64 was the very embodiment of the formula of the series - you have a couple years to fix the farm, get married, raise a family, etc. It moves at a munch faster Pace, but there's probably a lot less content than Wonderful Life. There's no where near as much passage of time as wonderful Life. There's not quite as much to do I don't think, but unless you are a master at balancing life and work, there's still quite a bit to miss in Harvest Moon 64.

I’ve been going Capcom retro. Picked up Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2 and Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection today. Both for the Switch.

I just bought Dishonnored 2 for Xbone.

Coming from a lifetime of Nintendo consoles, I'm constantly amazed at how cheap great games get on Xbox.  I paid €7 for Dishonnored 2.  In similar vein, I managed to buy physical copies of Deus Ex, Mass Effect Andromeda and Titanfall 2 for less than €10 each.
