PlayStation 5.5? I bought the PS4 on release but I can wait for the PS5.
In my experience, if PC were a console its unreliability would be surpassed only by the original Xbox 360.

Next gen hasn't impressed me much so far. Gran Turismo 7 is the only game I'm interested in. Many games this gen (PS4.Xbone) have become visually too "noisey" for me; next gen looks to be even more so (yes, I am getting old).
Next gen never impresses me at the start. Law of diminishing returns, I suppose.

Law of age addled cynicism.
Though I don't think I will get one at launch.

It is a tremendous value if you have unlocked internet acheivement.

It's that new console smell though!

Sony said only the Top 100 most played PS4 games will be compatible at the launch of the PS5.
robio said:PS5 will play the majority of PS5 games, eventually. They haven't really gone into detail about which ones however. Oh it's known as that it's going to be handled kind of how 360 games could be played on the Xbone through updates and such.
We desperately need to hire an editor for our posts.

I am also predicting a high probabilkty that after a while, PS5 will stop playing the majority of PS5 games.
My decision to get an XB at alunch hinges on backward compatibility. What is known:
- Will play all non-kinect XBOne games (makes it an easy choie to trade in your existing Xbone, here in Au it drops the price of the new system by $200).
- Will play all of the 360 and Original XB games that can play on the Xbone (and this is where I get hung up). There is "only" 700 games on that list right now. I'd like to know more. I have a lot of original XB games and only 14 of them are on that list.
Playstion 5 - -it's academic at this point, they are sold out in Australia until next year (at least that is the earliest retailers will commit to at this stage). I'll get one when they are easy to find, not before.
